Funders - the story so far ...

"The stage is not merely the meeting place of all the arts, but is also the return of art to life."
Oscar Wilde

We’re spending £5.4m on turning the Torch into a welcoming, state-of-the-art venue for you all to enjoy – an arts venue which will meet the demands of 21st century audiences and high quality performers. The Arts Council of Wales and the National Lottery have been a fantastic help towards our achieving this goal but the whole process has relied on the Torch Theatre working hard to seek out funding opportunities and making successful applications to meet the cost of the project. Thanks to all of these individuals and organisations, we’re almost there.

National Lottery / Arts Council of Wales ₤4,500,000
Welsh Assembly Government ₤200,000
Pembrokeshire County Council sources ₤145,000
Sponsor A Seat public appeal ₤30,000
Donations ₤19,000
Invest Wales ₤95,000
Foundation for Sport and The Arts ₤30,000

The Foyle Foundation ₤40,000

The Garfield Weston Foundation ₤20,000

Charitable Foundations and Trusts ₤10,000
In kind support ₤82,000
Torch Theatre Company Limited funds & loan ₤160,000

The Grand Total came to ₤5,331,000 - leaving us only £70,000 short of our fundraising target! You can still help us get there by sponsoring a seat!

Recognised as a Regional Performing Arts Centre by the Arts Council of Wales. Cydnabyddir gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru fel Canolfan Ranbarthol y Celfyddydau Perfformio.
