Funding - the story so far ...
"The stage is not merely the meeting place of all the arts, but is also the return of art to life." Oscar Wilde
In 2006/07, a total of £5.4m was spent on refurbishing the Torch, transforming it into a welcoming, state-of-the-art venue for everyone to enjoy – an arts venue to meet the demands of 21st century audiences and high quality performers. The Arts Council of Wales and the National Lottery were a fantastic help towards our achieving this goal but the whole process relied on the Torch Theatre working hard to seek out funding opportunities and making successful applications to meet the cost of the project. Our sincere thanks to all of these individuals and organisations.
