School’s out for the Summer and the Torch Theatre has a host of family-friendly entertainment lined up! Come rain or shine, every day our two cinema screens will be

showing the latest family films and Hollywood blockbusters, perfect for the youngest of movie goers and their families to enjoy.


There are plenty of opportunities to catch the latest big screen movies, with Toy Story 4 (U) and Disney’s live action/CGI adaptation of the much loved The Lion King (PG); both screening in 2D, 3D and with subtitles until Saturday 31 August.


Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol makes its big-screen debut as Ryder and the pups spring into action in Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups (U), screening from Sunday 28 July to Thursday 1 August.


Tickets are now on sale for Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans (12A), screening Friday 2 – Thursday 15 August. This feature-length spin-off of the BAFTA-winning Horrible Histories series features a wealth of British talent including Nick Frost, Derek Jacobi, Warwick Davis, Chris Addison, Alexander Armstrong, Kate Nash, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Kim Cattrall. There will also be a Relaxed Environment Screening of Horrible Histories: The Movie on Saturday 10 August at 11am.


You’ve played the game, why not see those angriest of birds on the big screen. From Friday 16 August, The Angry Birds Movie 2 (PG) which sees the birds and pigs of Eagle Island team up on a secret mission to fight a common threat!


Daniel Radcliffe, Jim Gaffigan and Anya Taylor-Joy lend their voices to Playmobil: The Movie (PG) an animated adventure inspired by the ever-popular German range of plastic toys. Playmobil: The Movie is screening from Friday 23 August with a Relaxed Environment Screening on the morning of Saturday 31 August, at 11am.


Last but not least, The Queen's Corgi (PG) hits screens from Monday 26 August, with Jack Whitehall voicing the titular canine and national treasure Julie Walters as the voice of HRH herself.


Looking for a fun filled family theatre experience? Join Theatrix Arts in our Studio Theatre on Saturday 3 August, with The Sand Dragon, a new magical puppet storytelling show suitable for those aged 4 and above. After the performance you can have the opportunity to meet the puppets and you can create your own Sand Dragon in a very special post show workshop! Puppet Workshop £1 per child.


Of course, it wouldn’t be Summer without Sunset Cinema, the Torch Theatre’s annual season of open-air film screenings at various scenic locations throughout Pembrokeshire, now in its fifth year.
