A Warm Welcome for Babies in Arms at the Torch

Gurgling, crying, screaming and bottom burping babies will be welcomed at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven as its 2024 Babies and Blockbuster event launches on Thursday 25 January.

Grandparents and parents with babies in arms will not be frowned upon as they watch the first blockbuster film of the year - ‘What Happens Later’ in a relaxed atmosphere.

Jordan Dickin, Torch Theatre’s Executive Assistant hopes to see a well supported auditorium. He said:

“Parents and grandparents can sometimes feel a nuisance when their children and grandchildren make a noise during a film. They can feel self-conscious and worry about interrupting others around them. These screenings are designed to be relaxed and welcoming and it really doesn’t matter if your baby cries or needs feeding as everyone in the audience is in the same boat. It also gives parents an opportunity to see the latest releases when they may feel they never get the chance to.”

Babies and Blockbusters started in the Torch just after the covid pandemic eased off and audience numbers vary from month to month. However, with its new launch of Babies and Blockbusters, the Torch Theatre is looking forward to welcoming old and new faces.

Jordan concluded: “It will be great to see parents and grandparents with new babies attend. The Kiosk will also be open and teas, coffees and cake will be available.”

Blockbuster films will be screened once a month on a Thursday morning, with tickets at £5 and no charge for babies! The line up so far includes a showing of ‘The Colour Purple’ on Thursday 29 February with more films to follow on a monthly basis.

The Babies and Blockbuster event will be launched at the Torch Theatre on Thursday 25 January at 11am. Ticket prices £5. Babies free. For tickets phone the Box Office on 01646 695267 or click here.
