WELCOME TO TORCH YOUTH THEATRE
“Going to Torch Youth Theatre is my favourite part of the week. It is funny, welcoming, and a little space away from the world which invites you to let go and be free.”

Each week young people aged seven to 18 get involved in creative and engaging skill building workshops that encourage them to build their confidence and find their voice. Led by our dedicated team of theatre professionals, the sessions are not just about acting and theatre. We ensure that our young people learn about social skills, problem solving and teamwork - all of the things we know will help them make the most of their future. Most importantly our young people have fun and make new friends.
“Torch means a lot to us and it has helped us create bonds and gives us opportunities we never would have had otherwise.”
We have four age-appropriate groups that meet weekly on Tuesday and Wednesday after school during term time, however there is no pressure to attend each session.
Group 1: School years 3 & 4 meet on TUESDAYS 4:00pm to 5:30pm
Group 2: School years 5 & 6 meet on WEDNESDAYS 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Group 3: School years 7, 8, & 9 meet on TUESDAYS 6.30pm to 8:00pm
Group 4: School years 10, 11, 12 & 13 meet on WEDNESDAYS 7:30pm to 9:30pm
Our Autumn and Spring terms conclude with informal sharings where the young people show their grownups what they’ve been up to. Throughout their time with us young people can take part in a range of performance opportunities, from voiceover work for our Pantomime, to the National Theatre Connections programme, and our spectacular annual whole Youth Theatre summer productions. Torch Youth Theatre is an important part of our yearly programme of live theatre.

“Everyone was given the opportunity to show their skills and because of that a sense of inclusion for everyone … I am grateful for Torch youth.”
Term sessions are £90 per person.
We are happy to discuss ways of making this payment more manageable, and we offer full payment, half termly and weekly options.
Torch Youth Theatre is a welcoming space for everyone. We are aware that every young person develops at their own rate and ability is not always linked to age. We aim to make reasonable adjustments to our delivery to ensure that each group provides the best fit for everyone, so our young people can make the most of their experiences.
If this sounds like something you or your young person are interested in being part of then please contact our Box Office team on (01646) 694192 and they will be happy to book you in for a taster session.
