TORCH THEATRE

EDUCATION

Torch Theatre cares deeply about supporting schools, colleges, and home education across Pembrokeshire, and West Wales. We want to ensure that culture, creativity, and learning complement one another in all educational environments, and remain a key part of preparing our young people for the future.

Our sessions with young people encourage them to build their confidence through creative and engaging sessions, led by our dedicated team. These sessions are not just about acting and theatre, we ensure that our young people learn about wellbeing, social skills, problem solving, and teamwork. Most importantly we seek to ensure that young people have fun whilst making discoveries about themselves and the world around them.

We support all areas of learning and experience within both the new curriculum for Wales and existing examination specifications. This is achieved through collaboration with teachers, tutors, or parents to create bespoke activities which are tailored to meet your specific needs.

Each project Torch Theatre undertakes aims to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Encourage and nurture participant’s experiences and foster confidence in their ambitions.
  • Support and develop a desire to learn about theatre, other people in the wider world, and discover more about yourself.
  • Inspire participants through opportunities for creative contribution and output.
  • Nurture individual physical and mental health.
  • Value everyone’s contribution to society through safe, inclusive, and welcoming moments of connection with creative learning, and the wider Torch Theatre programming.

You can be assured that Torch Theatre aims to inspire and engage learners at all levels in safe, creative spaces which promote accessibility and wellbeing.

We offer workshops, backstage tours and work placements.
