EDUCATION

I have really enjoyed working with the Torch Theatre this term as the Torch has helped me understand how a play is put together.” – A student at Milford Haven Community Primary School.

Annually, we work with around 2000 learners from across west Wales, creating bespoke moments of learning and unique experiences to last a lifetime. We work with Primary, Secondary, Further and Higher Educational establishments tailoring our content to help grow learner’s skills and confidence through exciting creative, physical, and educational activity.

We aim to collaborate with teachers to create worthwhile activity which supports a variety of areas of learning and experience. We encourage the growth of young people’s imagination, and develop methods for critical thinking and teamwork, all whilst ensuring that young people feel confident in learning new skills.

Some of our regular activity includes:

  • Workshop
  • FREE Teacher Training each term
  • Resource Booklets for our Torch Theatre productions

Whilst we have a range of workshop ideas available for you, we are also able to work with you to create personalised workshops designed to complement your teaching and subject areas.

We’d like to welcome you and your students to the Torch for a unique learning experience.

I’m so proud of the creative journey our students have been on. Over the Autumn term, they had dived into scriptwriting and prop making, building key skills in literacy, design, and collaboration. Working with creative professionals inspired them and opened their eyes to the possibilities of theatre.” - Rhian Johnson Expressive Arts Lead at Milford Haven Community Primary School.

We also welcome students on placements throughout the year working with secondary schools across Pembrokeshire, University of South Wales, University of Trinity St Davids (Carmarthen) and Royal Welsh School of Music and Drama.
