Very sadly we must announce that for the first time since 2020, and only the second time since 2010, we will not be holding Joon Dance Summer School this year.

The costs of running the Summer School have doubled in that time and our prices have not. We have relied increasingly on external funding and support-in-kind from the Torch to allow us to create such a high-quality creative experience whilst keeping prices accessible to all.

Much of the administrative work of running Joon has also been historically done on a voluntary basis. Unfortunately, this is no longer sustainable.

We are taking a pause while we figure out what the future is for the company, including continuing our work at Torch Theatre, in the Pembrokeshire landscape, and performances with our community.

We remain hopeful that we can find a way forward and return with a more sustainable model that allows Joon Dance to continue for many years to come.
