What makes a great dad? Martin thinks he might know and is determined to share his thoughts with audiences at the Torch Theatre this June. This darkly funny, heartfelt journey explores the father figures that shaped Martin - from Darth Vader to childhood hero Indiana Jones, from Cool Dad to Dad Dancer. 

With live movie reenactments, less-than-perfect Harrison Ford impressions, and surprise guests on screen, this show speaks to every dad who’s ever wondered if they're enough. For Martin, though, the stakes feel even higher - is this mission about saving his son, or himself?

Created by acclaimed writers Keiron Self (My Family, Shaun the Sheep) and Kevin Jones (Cardiff Boy, Hinterland), this is a night of brilliant theatre and an unforgettable experience for dads, sons, daughters, and families alike.

Author, Keiron Self, is best known for playing hapless dentist Roger Bailey in the hit BBC sitcom My Family. He’s had an extensive career in television (Still Open All Hours, Casualty), film (Bittersweet Symphony, Black Mountain Poets), and theatre (Copenhagen, Love and Money). He has also written for TV and radio, including Sadie J (CBBC) and the Sky Cinema film A Christmas Number One.

BAFTA Cymru-winning drama editor and playwright, Kevin Jones, who plays Martin, has had work staged at Edinburgh Fringe, Camden Fringe, and The Other Room Theatre. His award-winning short plays have been performed worldwide, including off-Broadway. As an editor, his work includes Hinterland, Keeping Faith, and The Feast.
