A Tribute to Sting and The Police
Fronted by Sting look and sound-a-like Owen James and his band ‘The Rozzers’, ‘A Tribute to Sting & The Police’ is the most authentic Sting tribute in Europe. Members of the band have performed all over the world for several years and now embark on their biggest ever UK tour and the Torch Theatre can’t wait to welcome them!
The Police were arguably the biggest band on the planet between 1977 and 1983, achieving five number one hits on both sides of the Atlantic. Sting then went on to be one of most acclaimed solo songwriters of his generation, selling a combined total of more than 100 million records as a solo artist from 1985 and as a member of the Police.
The British singer and songwriter, Sting has received three Brit Awards, a Golden Globe, an Emmy and four Academy Award nominations and just over 10 years ago, was made an Ivor Novello Fellow. His music awards are as long as your arm and his popularity as strong ever.
From Roxanne and Every Breath You Take to Fields of Gold and Englishman in New York, all the hits are reproduced with stunning authenticity and vocal accuracy. Be sure to catch this show on Saturday 5 July.
A Tribute to Sting and the Police Starring the Rozzers will appear on the Torch Theatre stage on Saturday 5 July at 7.30pm. Tickets: £24. To book tickets via the website visit torchtheatre.co.uk / phone the Box Office on 01646 695267 or click here.
