This Pride Month Torch Theatre is pleased to be collaborating with Pembrokeshire Pride to bring you a series of films which celebrate LGBTQ+ stories, with tickets for them only £5!

Pembrokeshire Pride will be on hand at a showing of Beautiful Thing (15) on 7 June, hosting an informal meet up for their members, as well as providing support and information for anyone needing it. They would love to see more people from across our county join them that evening to enjoy the conversation and the film.

We asked Lewis O’Donnell, Pembrokeshire Pride’s Community Engagement Officer for more information on the organisation and their plans.

Pembrokeshire Pride is a community organisation. Our aim is to bring the conversation to our county to provide services, signposting support and education to all. We work to create an inclusive county, where all can find a safe community, and all have somewhere to turn in times of need. We actively work to dissolve fear and bias around communities and businesses in Pembrokeshire. There has been a great need for information and advice around the LGBT+ community. The change will be slow but is very important. 

We host many events and meetups for the LGBT+ and allied community around Pembrokeshire, but all are welcome at our events. We want to create fun filled spaces with like-minded people. We also work with several voluntary and community organisations bringing opportunity and accessibility to those who may receive barriers due to differing circumstances in the county. We are always looking for ideas, sponsors and collaborators that can enrich the already amazing and diverse team here at Pride.

We would also like to announce our Pride 2024 date for our ‘Festival of Inclusion’ which will be held on Saturday 20 July. All details are going to be released to the public shortly. We are super excited at the support businesses and organisations have given Pride over the last year in preparation for a spectacular day coming to you all very soon. 

We hope as we grow in support, volunteers, and access, that we can create long lasting communities and support networks for the LGBT+ community in the county. We want to bring the wider communities together with the LGBT+ community and integrate without bias and discrimination. We believe all are equal and everyone in this beautiful country deserves a seat at the table. All tickets are £5.
