Following the recent revival of this epic Rice and Lloyd Webber musical at the
London Palladium, Milford Amateur Operatic Society is delighted to bring Evita to the
Torch Theatre stage.
The compelling story of Eva Peron who rose from very humble
beginnings to become the First Lady of Argentina. The wonderful musical score
fabulously conveys Eva’s rise to power as a beacon hope for the working classes
and causing great distress to Argentina’s ruling elite before her untimely death at the
age of 33.
Join us as we portray her life, told through the eyes of Che’s passionate
and sardonic cynicism with such well known musical numbers as the Oscar-winning
‘You Must Love Me’, ‘Oh What a Circus’ and of course the iconic ‘Don’t Cry for Me
Argentina’.
